It has been reported in social networks that medical workers in Bishkek are being forced to visit houses and conduct censuses.

In this regard, the National Statistical Committee would like to draw citizens' attention to the Government Decree No. 690 of 23 October 2017 "On preparing and conducting a population and housing census in the Kyrgyz Republic 2020". According to this decree, a population and housing census was originally planned to be conducted from 23 March to 1 April 2020. However, due to the epidemiological situation in the country, the date was postponed until further notice.

In view of the above, the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic officially declares that about 28 000 people were supposed to be involved in the population census, among whom there are no doctors, and it is not plans to carry out any activities on population and housing census during this period.

If necessary, we kindly ask citizens to seek clarification from the National Statistical Committee or the nearest territorial bodies of state statistics or by phone (0312) 32-53-36; (0312) 62-56-57.
