The growth of GDP in comparison with January-August of the previous year is provided by an increase in the growth rates of industries producing goods

Gross domestic product (GDP), according to preliminary estimates, in January-August 2017 amounted to about 283 billion soms, which is higher for 6.0% than the level of the corresponding period of the previous year, without taking into account the enterprises for the development of the Kumtor, respectively, about 253 billion soms and 3.6% more.

The growth of GDP is provided, mainly, by the branches of industry, construction, agriculture and the sectors rendering services. At the same time, the growth of commodity production branches in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year amounted to 113.4 percent (in January-July 2016 - 97.6 percent), industries rendering services - 100.8 percent (in January-July 2016 - 101.9 percent).

Compared to January-August of last year, the share of manufacturing industries in the GDP structure increased by 2.3 percentage points (mainly due to industry, whose share increased by 3.1 percentage points) and amounted to 38.8 percent, in while the share of service industries, on the contrary, decreased by 1.7 percentage points and amounted to 49.9 percent.
