GDP growth for 10 months of this year amounted to 5.7%

Gross domestic product in January-October 2019, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to about 455 billion soms and increased by 5.7 percent compared to January-October 2018.

Without enterprises on Kumtor developing, the volume of GDP in January-October 2019 amounted to 406 billion soms and increased by 3.3 percent.

Positive trends were observed in agriculture, where the growth in volumes amounted to 1.8 percent, in construction - 9.4 percent, wholesale and retail trade - 4.6 percent.

In January-October 2019 (compared with December of the previous year), consumer prices and tariffs in the country as a whole amounted to 1.2 percent, due to higher prices for food products and soft drinks,alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, as well as services.

In January-October of this year (compared with December of the previous year), an increase in consumer prices and tariffs was observed throughout the republic. Their greatest growth (3.7 percent) since the beginning of this year recorded in the Batken region, where in comparison with other regions, prices for foodstuffs and non-alcoholic drinks increased the most (by 6.4 percent), as well as for alcoholic drinks and tobacco products (by 3.0 percent). The maximum increase in prices for non-food products was observed in Issyk-Kul oblast (1.6 percent), tariffs for services - in Naryn oblast (2.8 percent).

According to preliminary data, the foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic in January-September 2019 amounted to 5.0 billion US dollars and decreased by 2.8 percent compared to January-September 2018, while export deliveries increased by 11.7 percent. and import revenues, by contrast, fell 7.3 percent.

The volume of mutual trade between the republic and the EAEU member states in January-September 2019 amounted to 1,960.1 million US dollars and compared with January-September 2018 decreased by 2.9 percent. At the same time, there was a decrease in both export deliveries by 3.6 percent, and import incomes - by 2.8 percent. The largest share of the republic's mutual trade with the EAEU member states was in Russia (61.4 percent) and Kazakhstan (36.4 percent).
